Mia walked back to her dorm with her stomach in knots. She had to bring her roommate. Lily was her friend. Lily was quiet and shy and studied all the time. She did not deserve to get pulled into this mess. But Mia also knew she had no choice. If she did not obey, he would ruin her life.
She opened the door to her room. Lily sat on her bed with a textbook in her lap. Her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail. She wore an oversized sweatshirt and reading glasses. She looked so innocent. Mia felt a wave of guilt wash over her.
Lily looked up and smiled. "Hey. How was class?"
Mia sat down on her own bed. She chewed on her bottom lip. "I need a favor. A big one."
