Zarelle shot out an arm and managed to grab hold of Celina’s skirt, preventing her from dropping to the ground below.
“Celina, I thought you had a good heart, but it seems you had other plans,” Zarelle remarked, her voice tinged with coldness, as she surveyed the dishevelled Celina.
Celina, however, persisted in her denial. “I… I didn’t!” she stammered, attempting to deflect the blame.
“You really expect me to believe that? You tricked me into coming here, and then you tried to push me over the railings,” Zarelle retorted, suspicion evident in her eyes. “If I’m not mistaken, you tampered with the railings, didn’t you?”
