  _Zarelle’s POV_   I realised that perhaps my hatred for Calden wasn’t as deep-rooted as I had believed.   The ambulance arrived promptly, and Cyric cradled me in his arms, concern etched on his face. “Are you okay? Let me take you to the hospital.”   “I… I’m fine. I’ll go with the ambulance. I want to see Calden…” I insisted, determined to accompany Calden in his time of need.   Understanding my resolve, Cyric relented, knowing he couldn’t sway my decision. He reluctantly watched as I climbed into the back of the ambulance.   The pungent smell of disinfectant permeated the hospital’s sterile hallways.
