Ryker smiled as he looked at Julia still holding the sunflower he had given her. The sight alone was enough to brighten his entire morning. His wolf purred contentedly inside him.
"Mate is smiling."
"I know."
"She should smile every day."
"I intend to make sure she does."
Ryker reluctantly pulled his eyes away from her before speaking.
"Anyway... I actually came here for another reason."
Julia looked at him curiously.
"What is it?"
"I wanted to invite you to breakfast."
Julia blinked.
"Breakfast?"
Ryker nodded.
"Yes. I usually eat in the food hall after morning training."
He glanced toward the window.
"We're a little later than usual. Most of the pack has already finished eating and gone back to work. There will only be my Alpha Unit and my Beta there."
He smiled reassuring
