I couldn’t stay in the office. My heart was pounding too hard, the baby kicking wildly as if sensing the chaos outside. I slipped out into the hallway, barefoot and trembling, following the distant shouts and the roar of the waves. The night air was cool and sharp as I reached the cliff path overlooking the north cove. Hidden behind a cluster of rocks, I watched everything unfold. The small boat had docked. Harrington stood on the deck with two other men. Reynolds was with them, arm still in a sling, face pale but determined. Flashlights cut through the darkness. Then Daddy appeared on the shore, gun in hand, flanked by his security team.
