I storm out of the hospital like a man possessed.
My hands are shaking. My jaw is clenched so tight it aches. Every muscle in my body is wound taut with rage and hurt and something that feels dangerously close to heartbreak.
Dustin's words echo in my head: "Please give me another chance. Let me give Jake the father he deserves. You wouldn’t want him to grow up in a broken family, would you?"
And Sabrina's face. That hesitation. That conflict.
