At Peace

Caelan POV: I don’t set her down and step back. I never had the chance. The moment I lower her onto the bed, her legs stay locked around my waist, calves crossing behind me like she’s made a decision and sees no reason to revisit it. The mattress dips beneath us, sheets cool against skin still warm from steam, and suddenly I’m over her, still standing between her thighs, still carrying the heat of the shower, still very aware of how little space she’s left me to retreat. Not that I want to. Her body is warm and slick from the steam, bare and open beneath me, and when I lean in to brace my hands on either side of her shoulders, our alignment becomes unavoidable. My hardness presses against her, resting flush to her heat, and the soft gasp that leaves her lips goes straight through me.
