Sloane’s POV
Stella hands me a slice of pizza and looks at Xavier questioningly, and he nods. Sly, who is also chewing on a piece of chicken, seems unbothered by everything.
“Where’s Penny?" I ask after they all exchange proper greetings, and Xavier goes off to chat with someone who pulls him away.
She was here earlier but-” Natasha strains her neck as if searching for her. “- around somewhere?”
Daniel and Sammy’s boyfriend, Shane, are chatting away a little off to the side of us. Yes- swim things, and Sammy seems bored.
"Hey, Sloane," Kai says, his voice dropping slightly as he tries to step closer but holds himself a step back when he sees Sly straightening his posture,, glaring at him. "How-how have you been? Are you doing okay?"
