Isabella’s point of view
Bruno had an important meeting to attend last night, so I was left alone in the room. I didn’t sleep last night because I stayed all night reading a new book that has no HEA. This book was literally saddening. I think I need therapy because I am still feeling the after effects of this book. I keep bawling my eyes whenever I remember Leila lost Hermes too, even though Hermes hated her right from the beginning.
That girl went through a lot. Imagine losing your best friend and twin brother on the same day, then your mother a few weeks after. Then the worst of it, your best friend's last wish is for you to marry her brother who hates you and thinks his sister’s death is all your fault. After so many years of back and forth, love came in and so did death.
