The meeting was going on without me hearing most of what was being discussed. That’s how much of a distraction she was to me.
Salvatore was talking, while Mikhail was arguing about the timing of retaliation. He wants us to act fast before we get struck. He was pointing at different eastern routes.
Veleno wants us to bring Diego’s men here to help out, but I don’t trust any of them, except Tiano, Diego’s consigliere. We haven’t spoken since I took Isabella.
I wasn’t feeling comfortable, something in my chest felt wrong, it wasn’t fear. It was my instinct I guess. It was like the air pressure changed.
“We should move the shipment before nightfall,” Mikhail finished. I didn’t respond because my phone buzzed at that exact moment.
