Bruno’s point of view She goes still beneath me, I felt her body relax, that was how I knew she was gone. Sleep took a total hold of her, it dragged her under and her breathing evened out too fast. Her body slacks with exhaustion. I pull back and moved to the edge of the bed, my elbows braced on my knees as I stared at the floor like it might accuse me of unimaginable things. The room smells of s*x. I didn’t dare look at her again, because it might make me think. I don’t want to make mistakes, overthinking doesn’t solve any problems. It just leads to mistakes. I proceeded to dress up quietly, like I didn’t just barter control in a way I shouldn’t have. She promised to eat, I should have made her eat something before I even touched her, but I couldn’t resist her. One thing I’ve avoided.
