"You can't be serious," Zane says. "I am as serious as a heart attack. It's only a week. You will both survive." "A week is too long. We have never been apart for longer than two days since our mating," Marcus says as my niece Camille climbs him like a tree. The three other pups are chasing Helena around the pack yard. I knew my brother and Zane would show up here the minute they got Esme's note. I knew if she told them in person we were going to an island for a week they would convince her to stay home.
"I think your poor mate deserves a break. You two are a lot to deal with," Caspian says. Both Marcus and Zane glare at him. I can't stop the giggle that bubbles up inside me. "We take good care of our mate. She is our queen," Zane growls.
