My heart beats a little faster when I see my father parking the car across from the pack house. Harmony is excited too as she paces in my head. Nicky insisted on joining to me Caspian because she wanted to speak to him before Zane. I swear they act more like sister and brother than they do Alpha and Beta. Of course, in front of the pack they maintain their roles, but otherwise they are comical to watch. Zane told me after I made an example out of Jonathon this morning that he wanted to speak to Caspian when he arrived.
I trust him to follow through on what we spoke about, but I still want to be there for the conversation. When he finally comes to stand in front of me, I fight the urge to hug him after I hug my parents. We make our way to Zane's office. I knock twice before
