29. Hands Tied

While I wait for the class to start, I'm feeling very uneasy. I'm convinced that what happened last night has become a turning point in my life. It's something I didn't expect could happen, and now I'm questioning if everything I've done is a mistake.
"What's wrong?" My friend Violeta sits next to me and observes me with concern. How I wish I could have been a normal girl and not have the worries I have now!
"Things have happened, but don't worry about it. Anything new?" I ask her, since I missed the first two classes.
"Well, guess what, Professor Cohen came to introduce his replacement, Professor Shultz. She's a young and beautiful woman, and it's obvious she's very capable. I'm sure you'll like her."
