A knock sounded almost immediately. A woman’s voice followed, “Are you awake? May we come in?”
My eyes widened. I tightened the sheets around my body. “No—wait—um… okay, you can come in now.”
Three women in matching uniforms stepped inside, closing the door behind them. They carried folded clothes and other items in their hands.
“We’re here to assist you with whatever you need,” one of them said politely.
“First of all… where am I?” I asked.
They exchanged glances before answering.
“You’re in the alpha’s mansion. He brought you here himself.”

They smiled a little, almost amused.
“You should bathe and eat first,” one suggested gently.
