Luna’s POV I’ve just come back downstairs from tucking Beth in after the game finished. Despite her promises to her father, I still had to wrestle her to bed, taking a full thirty minutes before she finally went up, and then I had to read her three stories before tiredness overwhelmed her and she fell asleep. Her screams of excitement after her father scored the winning goal and pointed to the screen, mouthing ‘that was for you,’ still ring in my ears. The five year old practically vibrated as she pointed back at him, looking over at me. ‘He scored! He scored a goal for me! Did you see Luna? Did you see it?’ she had gushed before dancing around the room, waving her hands, chanting. ‘Daddy Devil! Daddy Devil! Daddy Devil!’ over and over again. That is probably why it took three stories
