Brandy calls in the legal team, and Roberto is escorted out of the office, his shoulders hunched as he walks between the two men who are sent down to collect him.
As the door closes behind them, I turn back toward Brandy, who is still staring at the door, her own expression matching my own. ‘What is going to happen to him?’ I ask, a little worried.
My friend’s wife sighs heavily as she shrugs, ‘I don’t know Ash, that’s a serious breach of protocol. If he’s lucky, they’ll let him resign rather than fire him so it’s not on his record when he looks for a new job. There won’t be a reference here for him though, that’s for sure.’
