Tamara . . I was the sixth child of Baltimore and the only daughter of my father, and that meant one thing, I had to live up to a glory I never asked for. When my elder brothers trained, blades flashing beneath the sun, I had to be there too. I had to train with them. I had to keep up with unrelentless speed and strength even when I was clearly at a disadvantage. Yes, I was a woman. I was weaker. But I was weaker than the average woman. And even far weaker than Baltimore's women. Although I didn't belong here, I love Tige. I loved the way the bells rang, echoing through the stones that felt as old as time itself. I loved the scent of incense and the sound of swords clashing. Most of all I love the hunters, even when they forgot I was one of them. Today though, none of that mattered.
