Elena’s POV I always ended up in the library around five in the evening. The light came in through those big windows all golden and stretched out. Dust floated around like little specks catching the sun. It made everything feel quiet and slow. But not today. Today my heart was racing too much. I found it hard to notice any of that. My skin felt strange, like it did not fit right. I picked my usual spot behind the history shelves. My notebook was out, pen ready, but nothing came.
