I left the police station feeling sad. It is sad for so many lives to have been touched by one bad decision. I honestly blamed my mother for the whole thing. I had mentioned that to my attorney. He had listened to my whole story and asked a couple of questions. I know my mother. She always went after what she wanted. Always believing that her face could open any door for her, even the ones that were originally locked. I wanted her to be punished for the choice that led to my life being one trauma after another.
