Twenty-eight weeks.
Third trimester. Okafor had said it at the January appointment with the specific matter-of-fact quality she brought to milestones — not announced, not ceremonial, just stated as the fact it was. Twenty-seven weeks four days, which means the third trimester began this week. She had checked the measurements, found everything exactly where it should be, noted that Isolde's position was currently head-down which was the correct position at this stage and which might change several more times before birth, and confirmed the next appointment for the first week of February.
