I made it back to our section and found Asher exactly where I'd left him. He had moved into the living room, but judging by the coffee cup beside him, he hadn't done much else. His leg was stretched out in front of him while he looked through something on his phone. He glanced up when I walked in.
"Knox still alive?"
"Barely."
"That's disappointing."
"Keep talking and I'll deal with you next."
Asher put his phone down and looked far too pleased with himself. I wasn't giving him another argument about Ben when my backside was still reminding me how the last one ended. What happened between us had been my choice, but I was still allowed to complain about the result. I went into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator.
