Asher kissed me before letting go. I watched him walk toward the living room and remembered something I hadn't told him. With everything happening between Knox and Tessa, I'd forgotten about the gray car. I followed Asher and sat beside him.
"Baby, there's something I need to tell you."
He turned toward me and took my hand. I could tell he was expecting another confession about Knox. Unfortunately, what I had to tell him wasn't funny. I wasn't even sure whether I had anything worth worrying about.
"What is it?"
"When I was driving to Ben's store, I noticed a gray car behind me. I thought it might've been following me."
"Why?"
"Because it stayed behind me through several turns. Then it went another way, so I figured I was imagining things."
