As I ushered the kids into the back seat of the car, Riley reminded me that I hadn’t given her an answer. It was then it dawned on me that I didn’t call Alex again after he didn’t respond to the first call.
He didn’t call me back either.
Riley wasn’t letting me go without an answer, so I had to give her one. “Tell your daddy that I’ve accepted the invitation but he doesn’t need to send me a dress.”
