Everyone turned to Harper in surprise, but it was Alice who spoke first, her motherly instincts immediately kicking in.
“Going out? Where? It’s already past eight in the evening! And didn’t the four of you spend the entire day training? Why don’t you just stay in and get some rest?”
She then turned her attention to Nicholas, her expression growing more concerned.
“Especially you, Nicholas. Once the adrenaline wears off, you’re going to start feeling the aches and pains from everything you put your body through today.”
Nicholas suddenly felt like a little boy being scolded by his mother. Harper, however, was completely unfazed by Alice’s concerns. She even let out a quiet scoff.
