Back in Damien and Maya’s bedroom, Maya stepped out of the bathroom not long after Jaime had left. It didn’t take her long to freshen up since she had already showered just a few hours earlier.
Damien had already changed into a black sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. Seated on the couch, he looked up as Maya disappeared into the walk-in closet.
A few minutes later, she emerged dressed in a simple cream knit sweater, dark jeans, and white sneakers, pulling a small carry-on suitcase behind her.
“All set?” Damien asked.
Maya nodded.
“Yes.”
“Nick called while you were in the bathroom,” Damien said. “Jaime’s medical team has already arrived. Max personally dropped them off. They’ve already cleared security, so everything’s good.”
