“So you've completely forgiven him then?” Catherine asked over the phone.
“When did I say that?”
“You just came back from having dinner with him, babe. Do you even need to say it?”
I bit down on my bottom lip, feeling stupid. I had made a fuss about how he had behaved, even went as far as running away from his place, only to come back to him without hesitation. “I'm such a fool, aren't I?”
I didn't just come back to his house. I was even helping to plan his birthday. I was going out of my way to do something for him despite being angry at him and when he asked me out for dinner, I couldn't help but say yes.
