Aria's POV
The side effects didn't get better. They got worse.
At first, the strange spells lasted only a few seconds. Then they stretched into minutes.
Sometimes I would be walking through the house and suddenly feel the world around me blur. The walls would fade. The voices around me would become distant, and she would appear... the girl from my dreams.
She didn't appear clearly or completely. I would see her standing at the edge of my vision. Her pale figure, long hair, and sad eyes. Every time I blinked, she disappeared.
Soon, I started to feel her. Her emotions would hit me without warning. Sorrow, anger, fear, and an overwhelming longing. It was as though she wanted to go home.
