Aria's POV
The old Council didn't wait for the investigation to conclude.
They ran.
I was in the council chamber when Joshua called me. I answered immediately.
"Aria."
I straightened in my chair. "What is it?"
"They're moving south. The remaining Council members and their supporters are heading for the southern border. I think they're trying to escape the territory."
My jaw tightened. "Stop every one of them. I'm on my way."
I ended the call and immediately turned to Damon. "They're running for the southern border."
His expression hardened. "Then we stop them before they get there."
We didn't waste another second.
