NEVA POV --- The morning came. I want to say it was everything I'd promised myself it would be — ordinary, warm, the specific small peace of a life that had found its shape. And it was, for four minutes. Tea. Coffee. The handle turned right without thinking about it. Ryke's hand brushing mine on the counter, brief, deliberate, the small language we'd been building for weeks finally having a name attached to it. Four minutes of ordinary.
