"Tell me now." Ryke crossed the room in three strides, close enough to Corva that his fury filled the space between them.
She didn't flinch.
"Vesna Kael has a daughter." The words came fast, none of Corva's usual measured pacing left in them. "I only just remembered — she mentioned it once, at the estate, in passing. A daughter Vesna kept entirely separate from the structure, raised outside it deliberately. I dismissed it at the time as irrelevant."
