BLAIR’S POV Blaise’s brows lift, and for a second, we just stare at each other without saying a word, my heart hammering. His hand is still wrapped around mine like he doesn’t realize he hasn’t let go. This is stupid. I shouldn’t be this nervous but I am. What if I’m late? Maybe I already missed my chance and there’s someone else to marry him. “Say something,” I whisper, my knees threatening to give out. He exhales. “You said you’d never marry me.” His lips curve into a smirk that doesn’t reach his eyes. “I remember you calling me ugly.” He steps closer, crowding my space until his chest is almost touching mine.
