BLAIR’S POV
“Mummy!” Hailey squeals, running straight into me and wrapping her arms around my knees.
I laugh softly, about to scoop her up, when she suddenly peeks around me. The moment she spots Blaise, her eyes go wide.
“Uncle Blaise!” she shrieks, letting go of me and bolting toward him.
“My angel!” Blaise lifts her into his arms, and she bursts into giggles before wrapping him in a tight hug.
With a long exhale, I kick off my heels and slump onto the sofa. Blaise is still holding Hailey, murmuring something in her ear that makes her giggle again. I shake my head, wondering how he still has the energy. We’ve barely had a moment to breathe all day. From rushing to get our wedding certificate to jumping straight into the party, everything’s been so stressful and chaotic.
