CHAPTER 2

My back hit the mattress so hard the breath tore out of my lungs. I scrambled up on my elbows, dizzy, slick dampening my thighs, shame curling through me.
Ryder loomed over me, shoulders blocking the light. His eyes burned—hungry, furious.
“Look at you.” His voice was a growl that slithered down my spine. He straddled me, his weight caging me down, thighs pressing mine apart. “Squirming. Dripping.”
