“I do,” I said honestly. “But sometimes it feels like I’m living in his shadow.”
Nathan nodded, his voice lower. “You don’t seem like the kind of woman who likes shadows.”
My stomach did a stupid flip. I shrugged. “Your turn.”
“Alright,” he said, leaning forward. “Ever cheated before?”
My eyes widened. “Wow.”
“Too soon?”
“Way too soon.”
He grinned, cocky. “Okay. How about… what’s the wildest thing you’ve done?”
I raised my eyebrows. “Wildest? Like sexually?”
He smirked. “You said it, not me.”
I took another drink. “Maybe skinny-dipping at midnight in college.”
Nathan made a face. “Tame.”
“Excuse me?”
“You said wild. That’s barely reckless.” He tilted his head. “What about kinks? What gets you off, Reeva?”
I swallowed. “That’s not a normal question.”
