CHAPTER 3 ISLA A single, feather-light stroke over the peak, dragging a shiver out of me so sharp my knees threatened to buckle. I bit my lip hard. Another tentacle joined it, mirroring the first, both circling lazily before brushing again—firmer this time. A gasp slipped out before I could stop it. The glowing points brightened.
