The moment we put the twins to bed, Andrei took my hand and led me across the hall to our room. The room was still dark when we entered, but neither of us made a move to turn on the light.
Rather, as soon as the door was shut behind us, Andrei turned and caged me against it. My back slammed into the wood, but I didn’t have a chance to gasp in surprise before his mouth was moving over mine with such intensity that it stole my breath away.
I could have kissed him like that forever. The taste of him, the way his tongue danced and swirled around mine… it was pure bliss.
And for a little while longer, just for tonight, I let thoughts of yesterday’s incident slip away.
