“As much as I appreciate the offer,” I said with a tight laugh, “I just got home from a trip. I haven’t even had a chance to unpack my bags.” I held up my duffle bag to prove it.
But Andrei didn’t budge. “So? It can wait.” He folded those perfect f*****g arms across that perfect f*****g chest. “Unless you think your bag is going to grow legs and run away while you’re not looking.”
I sighed, glancing at Damon. He just shrugged, just as surprised as I was. But we both knew that if I turned Andrei down now, it would just make me seem weak. And with Alina standing in the background, smiling encouragingly, I knew I couldn’t let her down.
