Andrei’s POV The twins were set up in my tent, which was closest to the central area of camp and thus closest to the bonfire. When I lifted the flap and stepped inside, I spotted them nestled beneath a great heap of fur blankets, and yet they were still shivering from the cold. “Daddy!” Jane perked up when she saw me and moved to get out from under the blankets, but I approached and sat on the edge of the cot before she could get up. “Stay there, princess. Where it’s warm.” I tucked the blankets a little closer around their chins, as if finding something to do with my hands might change the fact that I didn’t know what the f**k to say or even how to begin saying it.
