That evening, a maid knocked on my door. “Alpha’s orders,” she said without looking at me. “There will be a general family dinner tonight with the Wick family. Be ready by seven.” My stomach dropped. This would be the first time I was meeting Kylian’s family properly since the wedding day. The thought made me nervous. I had only seen them from a distance at the wedding — cold faces and hateful eyes. I tried to dress fine.
