“I do not know where they are, Grand Witch,” Diana answered calmly. “All I know is that Ravenna attacked me and then escaped with Thorne.”
The words left her mouth easily enough. They were not entirely false. Ravenna had attacked her. And Ravenna had escaped with Thorne. Diana simply left out the part about why Ravenna had attacked her—and who had given her the means to escape.
Across the room, Talon remained silent. His expression revealed nothing, but Diana knew her mate well enough to notice the slight tightening of his jaw. He knew exactly what she was doing. And he would protect her secret.
Elara studied Diana for several seconds before speaking.
“Would you allow us to look through your memories, Luna?”
Diana’s brows immediately pulled together.
“Check my memories?”
