Diana’s lips parted slightly. No sound came out. But through the bond— soft, distant, exhausted— he felt her. A flicker. A warmth. A whisper. “Talon…” His entire body went still. Then relief crashed into him like a wave. “I’m here,” he said quickly, leaning closer. “I’m here, my love.” Her eyes did not open. But the bond pulsed once. Weak. Alive. Enough. Talon pressed a trembling kiss to her hand. “That’s it,” he whispered. “Stay with me.” Another pause. Then, faintly through the bond, Diana’s presence brushed against his. Tired. Pained. Still stubborn. “Stop… growling…” Talon almost laughed. Almost. Instead, his eyes burned. “I am not growling.” Fenrir huffed. “We were growling.”Talon ignored him. Diana’s lips barely moved, but through the bond her words came softer. “Liar.”
