I’m flying so high I may never come down. I had the best date of my life, and I weaseled my way into seeing Sloane again tomorrow, in her new pack. I can’t wait to see how the pack members are responding to her. If they don’t know that she’s going to be their Alpha, I’m guessing they aren’t really giving her a lot of time or attention. If they’re smart, they won’t say anything that will get them kicked out when she takes over. Although, knowing Sloane, she wouldn’t do that ... unless they said something to someone she loved.
I smile thinking about how protective she is of everyone around her. Sloane protects everyone, but who protects her?
‘We do,’ Marrok says.
‘Yeah, we do, Buddy.’
When I get home, I’m still grinning from ear to ear when I step inside the packhouse.
