Benny's POV
'Cupcake?' I call out to her, Eralia's face lighting up as she looks up and sees me, her smile growing as she pushes to her feet, dropping the cell into purse, that she sweeps up from the table, before she heads toward me.
‘I’m so sorry’ I state as she reaches me, ‘I completely lost track of time, I didn’t even have lunch.’
Eralia shakes her head as her hand touches the sleeve of my jacket, ‘it’s fine Benny, Callan called Mackenzie, and she let me know. I contacted the school and told them that we had a flat tyre so we were running a little behind, but would be there as quickly as we can.’
I blow out a harsh breath as I nod, ‘OK, good, at least they know we haven’t forgotten them’ I huff.
