Benny’s POV As the car screeches around the corner and out of sight, I skid to a stop, before I turn tail and run back to my truck, climbing in behind the wheel and starting the engine. I pull out and put my foot down, hand slamming down on the horn as one of the mothers starts to step off the sidewalk in front of me with her son. I see her look of horror as she pulls her son away from the road, jumping back herself onto the sidewalk as I roar past them both. I take the same turning the car with Eralia and the kids disappeared down, scanning every road as I pass it, looking for any sign of the other vehicle. I take the third turning I come too, hedging my bets that the woman who would steal her own kids would most likely switch streets in an attempt to stop anyone following her. There
