My summer was going so perfect that I should have known something awful was going to happen. I’d saved up money all year so that I didn’t have to work before I went to college, and planned on doing nothing except laying out by the pool, having s*x with my boyfriend, and eating the best food everyday.
The first month or so of summer went exactly as planned, and then things came crashing down when I got a text from my friend Alicia.
ALICIA: Did you see the pictures of Ben and Sarah?
Immediately, my heart was in my throat. Ben was my boyfriend, and Sarah was the school slut and my least favorite person in the world. She always went after my boyfriends, and had no class.
