Joaquin thought Francemia would go to check on Braven and Deja while he locked Shailene in the chamber. But she had another idea. He throws Shailen to the floor, she’s still trying to use her apportation power.
“Your powers are useless in here. The ones who can use their powers are the Queen and I.” He chuckled.
Shailene looks at him confused because she wasn’t aware Joaquin had magical powers. Then she looks into his eyes and jumps when a red beam comes out and hits an axe that is on the wall, blowing it up. She jumps. “How?”
He smirks, "That’s not any of your damn business. You, Gregorie, and all the other bastards have underestimated me. You both underestimated both of us. When will you all learn that we're not the ones to play with?"
