It had come out of nowhere, and he’d reached out on instinct to touch her to use the bond he knew she could feel to help settle her. Only to have her be on the move, and he heard the unmistakable sound of the cracking of her bones, she was about to have her first shift.
Andy was gone before he was, and he was yelling for his father even as he shot off after Wynta. Jared watched in complete shock as she shifted to an all-black wolf. It was large and impressive, and kind of hard to look at, seemed to just absorb light into it, not reflect off it. Both Andy and Chester were on her beast trying to drag it down to the ground, the moment the shift was complete.
