“What were you thinking trying to get a lawyer I already hired to represent you instead?” Patrick laughed as he asked.
I rolled my eyes. “Leave my house, I don’t want to even breathe the same air as you.” I declared, my voice firm. “Even if you hire the best lawyer, there’s no way on earth you would get full custody of my son.”
Patrick scoffed. “Our son, you mean.” He corrected me for the umpteenth time. “Once again, it was never my intention to drag you to court. I just want to have a relationship with my son.”
