Jamal still hadn’t reached out to me.
I didn’t bother reaching out to him either.
Maybe it was pride. Or maybe I was just being tired of the one always trying to fix things.
It was a good thing that schools were on a break or else, I wouldn’t have been able to go back to New York to complete my project.
Liam couldn’t stay with Jamal’s family anymore and I didn’t have anybody else who would take care of him back in Texas.
I mean, I had one person, but she had a busy schedule.
Over the years, I made a few friends but I could only trust one of them. Alexis. She was a good friend but we barely spent time together because of how demanding her career was.
Anyway, I was happy that I could take Liam on the trip.
He was excited to see New York. And Pat
